Shit Reed Says

Took the boys to Toys R Us on Sunday ISO of a specific LEGO play set. Found it almost immediately and looked to leave before they found other things they wanted to buy. On the way to the register, Reed found a bin of rubber animals --snakes, spiders, lizards…you name it.
“Dad, can I get one? “, he asked. “They are only 3 bucks!”
“Sure,” I said.
“Can I get two?”
“Sure,” I said again.
Reed’s face lit up. He excitedly turned to Hunter and started yelling in the crowded store.
“Hunter, Dad said we can get the 3 dollar rubbers –Dad said we can get the 3 dollar rubbers!”

Shit Reed Says

Me: Reed, should we have Gianna and Hailey over for a play date?

Reed: Well, Mom is the ruler of play dates --it's up to her.

Shit Hunter Says

Hunter is screaming at me, "You are not doing what I want!"

"What do you want me to do," I ask, exasperated.

"I am not telling you!"

Repeat several times...

Shit Reed Says

We are driving along and after a rock song I decide to jimmy in  some Tchaikovsky.

Reed: Oh great, now you're gonna put something on that's not rockin'!

11/26 and 11/27/2011

We went down to the Ramapo today and yesterday as the temperature was above 60F both days. Took Stinkus (aka, Bailey) with us.

River is still pretty high. Hunter insisted on balancing and walking on logs suspended over the water, keeping me on my toes. Water is cold, deep and fast.

Had a good time and found a deer skull which we are bleaching.

Shit Reed Says

Reed is restless and having trouble sleeping. I am lying next to him trying to get him back to sleep.

"I'm scared Dad," Reed says.

"Why?," I ask.

"Your breath smells like an evil curse."
