The Joys, Trials and Laughter from raising two beautiful little boys, Reed Layne (11 y/o) and Hunter Jaymz (9 y/o) in Northern NJ. The wisdom part may just be what they teach me about myself.

Today's Portraits
I had client over for headshots today and afterwards left the 3 lights up. When the boys came home I convinced them to pose for a few shots. Hunter was quite excited and wanted a photo with every one of his toy tools and a few real ones.
I convinced Reed to pose by saying he could hold the dog or a real crow-bar.
I wanted to convert to B/W but think these are better as is.

Shit Hunter Says
Hunter will not eat pizza we make at home --only pizza we buy. I am trying to figure out why so I ask him,
"Why do you want your pizza w/o tomato sauce, Hunter?"
"Because the sauce at home is terrible."
"What don't you like about the sauce."
"The very terrible part."

Shit Reed Says
Reed: I feel nauseous, Daddy.
He reflects on that.
Reed: What does nauseous mean, Daddy?

Shit Reed Says
Took the boys to Toys R Us on Sunday ISO of a specific LEGO play
set. Found it almost immediately and looked to leave before they found other
things they wanted to buy. On the way to the register, Reed found a bin of
rubber animals --snakes, spiders, lizards…you name it.
“Dad, can I get one? “, he asked. “They are only 3 bucks!”
“Sure,” I said.
“Can I get two?”
“Sure,” I said again.
Reed’s face lit up. He excitedly turned to Hunter and
started yelling in the crowded store.
“Hunter, Dad said we can get the 3 dollar rubbers –Dad said
we can get the 3 dollar rubbers!”
