Hunter perceived some slight from his brother and rather than collect more Easter eggs he climbed up into our magnolia tree.

The Joys, Trials and Laughter from raising two beautiful little boys, Reed Layne (11 y/o) and Hunter Jaymz (9 y/o) in Northern NJ. The wisdom part may just be what they teach me about myself.

Driveway Sledding
So it snowed overnight on my birthday (11/8). Got out to shovel and since there was a delayed opening, the boys came outside and I left a strip of packed snow for them to toboggan on.
I think I was late for work that morning. Good thing.

Family Vacation April 2011
We drove down to visit my Mom. Started afternoon and drove straight through the night. Not as hard as I expected. VA Highway Patrol got me doing 82 in a 75...and ticketed me. Otherwise uneventful.
Spent most of the time in Port Orange and Ponce Inlet.
Early on we went to the Reptile Discovery Ctr in Deland, FL and watched them "milk" poisonous snakes for venom!
One day in Sea World in Orlando. Reed ran off because he wanted me to buy him a sword minutes after we entered the park. I didn't want to buy something we'd have to carry around all day. It was brutally hot and muggy. Reed ran off just as the killer whale show was letting out, and he was swept away. We all were scared shit-less looking for him. Within 10 minutes Mechelle found him sitting beside a foot path.
The boys cousin, David Clement joined us a few times...the boys really like him and still ask for him.
Like past trips to FL the beach was the highlight --we all had the most fun there. Simple, easy and unadulterated (and cheap) fun!!
